For the photographs I will be using throughout my ancillary products, I will be using the photos I took for this purpose during the shoot for the music video itself. I chose to do this for several reasons, with the first, and arguably most important, being continuity. Through taking photos during the music video shoot, I was able to ensure that the lighting and general 'look' of the forest would be consistent between each of the products within my promotional package. Taking the photos alongside the footage for the music video also meant that several of the images are very similar to some of the shots from the music video, creating further cohesion between the products, making them more recognisable as being directly linked to each other.
I tried to take a variety of photos, using different shot types and angles, as well as varying the locations. Through doing this, I knew that I would give myself the largest possible selection to pick from when it came to picking which images I would actually use, reducing the risk of having to go back re-shoot them.
Taking these photos during the main shoot also guaranteed that I was able to have the same actor playing the ghost, allowing me to create continuity between my products through the use of the ghost as a visual motif.
